Prior to the authorization by the FDA, the vaccines have undergone rigorous safety measures and effectiveness of the safety and the standards as all the vaccines. The vaccine distribution has already begun with health care professionals in the front line of patient care.  There are numerous rumors flying digitally that the vaccine is harmful and being ineffective. To be honest, this isn’t true in the first place. The vaccine contains effective useful ingredients to keep the human safe and secure.

There are two COVID-19 messenger-Ribonucleic acids (mRNA) vaccines that are currently authorized for emergent use in the United States: the Pfizer-BioNTech and the Moderna vaccines. Conventional vaccines depend on the inactivated pathogens to trigger an immune response.

In contrast, the COVID-19 mRNA vaccines have used a novel approach. mRNA has delivered into our cells to simply provide the genetic instructions for our cells to “temporarily” this makes a “specific” viral protein that triggers an immune rejoinder.

The Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine is made of the following ingredients:

mRNA –It known as messenger ribonucleic acid, mRNA is the only active ingredient in the vaccine. The mRNA molecules contain very genetic material where it provides instructions for our body.  It is important to know how to make a viral protein triggering an immune response within our bodies. The immune response causes to our bodies make antibodies that will protect us from getting infected if we get exposed to COVID 19.

Lipids are another new COVID vaccine. The main goal is to protect the mRNA and deliver a “greasy” exterior which helps the mRNA glide inside the cells for the strength.

Sugar – also known as sucrose, is found in the new COVID vaccine. These molecules maintain the shape during freezing.

The Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine is made of these ingredients is very effective. The remaining ingredients including acids, acid stabilizers, salt, and sugar all together work to uphold the constancy of the vaccine after it’s produced.

It’s completely safe to take the vaccine and be safe from the COVID 19. SARS-CoV2 protein can’t make you nauseating or sick. The virus does its job and then it goes away with time. There will be always attentive to safety. To be honest everything about how viruses grow and make proteins is controlled when you design a vaccine that is made in the market. 

The question is how useful it is? Well, most vaccines are correlated to the protection- what you observe and the immune response which is correlated or predicts. It is whether you will be immune or not? Most of the vaccines in the past like vaccines for measles, hepatitis B, and seasonal flu- all had good antibody responses. It was correlated with being protected. Specifically, the vaccine will be neutralizing antibodies in response to prevent the virus from infecting the cell.
