COMPOSITION:

Each Capsule of Itcangus contain, Itraconazole 200 mg.

DESCRIPTION:

Itraconazole is an anti-fungal agent that belongs to the class of Imidazole. It works by inhibiting the cell wall synthesis in fungi. Itraconazole inhibits the activity of the enzyme, cytochrome P-450-14α– demethylase, which is involved in the conversion of Lanosterol to Ergosterol. When the synthesis of Ergosterol is inhibited, it leads to increased cellular permeability, leakage of the cellular componentsand eventually leads to cell death. Other mechanisms by which Itraconazole inhibits the fungal growth include inhibition of endogenous respiration, purine uptake inhibition and impaired phospholipid bio synthesis.

• Sporotrichosis
• Aspergillosis
• Blastomycosis
• Dermato mycoses
• Coccidioidal meningitis

DOSES AND ADMINISTRATION:

1 capsule in a day after lunch or else directed by the doctor or physician.

CONTRAINDICATIONS:

In patients with congestive heart failure, onychomycosis and those with liver and kidney impairment.

ADVERSE EFFECTS:

Adverse effects of this medicines include, Hepato toxicity, headache, constipation, nausea, fever, vomiting, dizziness, and upset stomach.

PRECAUTION:

There are no sufficient and well controlled studies when it comes it Itraconazole administration in pregnant women and nursing mothers. Therefore, if you are pregnant or nursing discuss with your doc about yourcondition before taking this medicine.
